Fiscal receipts for Shopify orders, handled automatically.

Since 1 January 2026, receipts for sales to consumers in Croatia have to be fiscalized whatever the payment method, bank transfer included. Vereo will do this inside Shopify, in Croatian.

Retyping into another program

Shopify doesn't fiscalize on its own. Without an app, every order is retyped or exported into a separate fiscalization program.

How it will work

  1. Install from the Shopify App Store

    The app will run inside your Shopify admin.

  2. Certificate, premises and numbering

    Setup in Croatian will guide you through your certificate, premises and numbering.

  3. A fiscal receipt for the order

    The receipt will carry the , and a QR code.

Do I need a digital certificate?

You need your own digital certificate for fiscalization (e.g. from FINA).

Are orders shipped to other EU countries fiscalized?

According to the Tax Administration, distance sales to consumers in the EU () are not subject to Croatian fiscalization. You will be able to exclude orders you report under OSS. Confirm your settings with your accountant.

FiscalizationFor every receipt issued to a consumer, its data is sent to the Croatian Tax Administration when it's issued. The receipt then shows the JIR, ZKI and a QR code.
JIRJedinstveni identifikator računa (unique receipt identifier). The Tax Administration's system assigns it when it receives the receipt, and it's printed on the receipt.
ZKIZaštitni kod izdavatelja (issuer's security code). The fiscalization software calculates it with your certificate, and it's printed on the receipt.
OSS (EU distance sales)Sales to consumers in other EU countries where VAT is charged in the country the goods are delivered to.
